Oral Examination


4. Timeframe up to the oral examination

Notification to all faculty lecturers that an application has been submitted. Time required: 2 weeks.

The procedure is then initiated by written notification to the candidate and a request to the advisors to provide evaluations. The evaluations should be submitted within three months.

As soon as all evaluations have been received by the Dean's office, the doctoral thesis and evaluations are submitted for possible comments to the university professors, apl professors, honorary professors and private lecturers of the faculty, as well as the members of the Faculty Council with doctorates. The period required to read these documents is two weeks during the term and four weeks during the semester break.

An examination date can be set at the end of the reading period. The dean will inform the supervisor of the earliest possible date. The supervisor then sets the date after consulting with all persons involved and informs the dean's 'office. The candidate will be notified of the examination date 12 to 14 days in advance.
